The funding from the council runs out in March 2017. We have enough finances to see us through to the middle of the year. The running costs of sway annually are around £40,000. We have a very good reputation with the council in terms of what we do. Across the area we meeting youth needs, touching a large number of young lives and building groups. Chale is encouraging and growing. Work in Brighstone is growing with younger ones. Niton is growing too and some significant interventions being made. This, SWAY is confident of some funding for a year beyond March – maybe up to 50% of what we need. Grants have been applied for – maybe some from there. From Niton and Brighstone we are confident of £10,000. There is still a need for more funding but it is within range now for SWAY to continue and possibly grow. The social enterprise – Wight Heat – is growing too but will not yield much profit for another year. Keep praying for this and giving, where you can. Thank you. Peter Johnson.
