The Children’s Society

The Children’s Society is a Christian charity focused on providing a network of programmes to support the needs of the most disadvantaged children. They fight childhood poverty, harm and neglect, supporting runaways, young carers, and children who are refugees from violence.

If you would like a donation boxes to put your small (or big) change in over the year, please contact Anna in the church office, who can put you in touch with the local collectors for Brighstone and Shorwell.
Over the last year, Brighstone people raised approximately £300 and Shorwell people, £500 from the donation boxes.

At Christmas 2013, the retiring collections from St Mary’s Brook Christingle Service, St Mary’s Brighstone Crib Service, and Brighstone Primary School’s Christingle Service, raised £733.77 which was donated locally to the West Wight Children’s Centre.
