What is ‘Friends of Brook Church’?
In April 2014, Felicity Adams became Churchwarden for Brook as well as Mottistone. To help lighten her load, a new monthly rota of volunteers from Brook agreed to take over most of the Warden’s usual routine work between services. The Friends of Brook Church are lending their time, skill or labour and usually all three! The scheme has worked so well that it has been extended to Mottistone church and is sure to be tried in other parishes.
Today’s church volunteers are busy people and have only limited amounts of time to give. We understand this so volunteers only give their help for one month at a time, on a rota basis.
